Migrate from Yoast, Rank Math, or SEOPress to Livada SEO without losing anything

A successful import and a successful migration are two different things. Livada SEO imports your data from Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress, or AIOSEO — then proves, tag by tag, that nothing has disappeared.

You've never switched SEO plugins. Not because you're satisfied — because you're afraid of what happens after you click "Import."

A title that changes wording is intentional. A title that silently disappears — nobody notices until traffic drops three weeks later.

The real problem isn't the import. It's the verification.

Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress, and Livada SEO all know how to import your data — titles, descriptions, target keywords, redirects. That's a problem that's been solved for years.

What none of the four does, except Livada SEO: verify that what was published before the migration is still published after.

That difference sounds small. It isn't. A successful import and a successful migration are two different things — the first says "I copied the data," the second says "the visitor and Google still see the same thing as before, only better."

How Livada SEO proves it: Migration Proof

Before launching the import, Migration Proof captures what your pages actually publish — not your old plugin's settings, the HTML as it actually renders, the full <head>: title, meta description, canonical, robots, Open Graph, everything an SEO plugin can write.

After the import, it recaptures the same page and compares the two versions, line by line.

Migration Proof — before / after comparison
- <title>Double Room - Hôtel du Roc</title>
+ <title>Double Room — Hôtel du Roc, Castellane</title>
  <meta name="description"> … unchanged
  <link rel="canonical"> … unchanged
  <meta name="robots"> … unchanged

Nothing disappeared. 1 tag reworded, 0 lost.

What this proves, precisely: that no tag present before the migration silently disappeared afterward. What it does NOT claim to prove: that every word stays identical — a title reworded by your new templates isn't a flaw, it's the plugin doing its job. Migration Proof tells the two apart. It's the difference between "I hope it went well" and "here's the proof, timestamped."

What's actually imported today

Livada SEO has a dedicated importer for each of the four most-used WordPress SEO plugins:

  • Yoast SEO — titles, meta descriptions, focus keywords, robots settings (index/noindex, follow/nofollow), canonical
  • Rank Math
  • SEOPress
  • AIOSEO

Nothing generic or approximate: four separate import files, one per plugin, because each one stores its data differently (SEOPress and Yoast in post meta, Rank Math in post meta under a different prefix, AIOSEO in its own database table).

What you should know before deciding

We'd rather tell you here than let you discover it afterward:

  • Migration Proof compares what's present or absent, not the word-for-word identity of each text. A deliberate rewording is never flagged as a loss.
  • The import copies the fields listed above. An exotic setting specific to a third-party add-on of your old plugin won't be picked up automatically — check your own case if you use less common extensions.
  • The before/after proof covers the pages you choose to check, at the moment you check them. It's not a permanent audit of the whole site — for that, Provenance Watch takes over after the migration.

What comes next, once you've migrated

A successful migration is only the starting point. Provenance Watch keeps continuously monitoring which plugin, theme, or extension writes each tag on your pages — useful for the day a theme or another plugin starts writing over a tag you thought you had under control.
