Make your site visible to ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity in 5 minutes
This tutorial shows you how to activate AI visibility on your site, check that no CDN is blocking the bots, and pass an AI Visibility score in 1 click.
- Install Livada SEO 1.12+ on WordPress (3 min)
- Open Livada SEO → AI Bots Access and click "Run live diagnostic"
- If everything returns 200 → you're set, AI can crawl ✓
- If some return 403 → unblock on the CDN side (Cloudflare AI Crawl Control)
Why this matters
When a user asks ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Copilot a question, these AIs crawl dozens of websites live to cite reliable sources in their answer. If your site blocks them (often without knowing it), you will never appear in those answers — and you won't know it.
The trickiest part: your CDN (Cloudflare, Hostinger…) often blocks AI bots by default. Your WordPress says "ok", but the CDN blocks before that. This tutorial gives you the exact procedure to detect and fix it.
Install Livada SEO 1.12+
If you already have Livada SEO, check that you're on version 1.12.0 or higher (the "AI Bots Access" feature arrives in this version).
- WordPress admin → Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin
- ZIP: livada.io/downloads/livada-seo.zip
- Activate, then enter your license under Livada SEO → License
Open the "AI Bots Access" page
In the WordPress menu, go to Livada SEO → AI Bots Access. You'll see 6 sections:
- Search engines: Googlebot, Bingbot, Applebot, DuckDuckBot (always allow)
- AI Citation: OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot… (the core of AI visibility)
- AI Training: GPTBot, CCBot, Google-Extended, Bytespider… (optional, depending on your strategy)
- Archives: Wayback Machine (useful for brand history)
- SEO Scrapers: SemrushBot, AhrefsBot, MJ12bot, DotBot (blocked by default, saves bandwidth)
- Opaque Scrapers: Anchor Browser (blocked by default)
Make sure all the "AI Citation" boxes are checked. This is the bare minimum to appear in ChatGPT/Claude/Perplexity answers.
Run the live diagnostic
At the top of the page, click the "Run live diagnostic (test all bots)" button.
In 10 to 30 seconds, the plugin sends a real HTTP request with each bot's actual user-agent, and displays the status code returned by your site:
If some bots return 403 — unblock the CDN
A 403 even though the bot is allowed in the plugin means the block is coming from your CDN (Cloudflare, Hostinger, OVH…), not WordPress.
▸ Cloudflare
- Cloudflare Dashboard → your domain
- Sidebar menu → AI Crawl Control (or Security → Bots → AI Audit)
- Choose "Do not block (allow crawlers)" (instead of "Block AI crawlers")
- If you see a list of individual bots → uncheck the ones you want to allow
▸ Hostinger
Hostinger often puts your sites behind a Cloudflare partner with a managed robots.txt that blocks AI. If you don't see your domain in your own Cloudflare dashboard, that's the case. Solution: add your domain to your personal CF account (Free plan is fine) and change the nameservers at Hostinger.
▸ OVH
OVH doesn't block AI bots by default. If you're getting 403s, check the level-3 Anti-DDoS or a custom WAF.
Check your AI Visibility score
To go further: open Livada SEO → AI Visibility. The plugin calculates a 0-100 score across 10 AI optimization signals:
- Presence of an
llms.txtfile - Knowledge Graph / Organization entity
- Business schema filled in
- Declared expertise (E-E-A-T)
- FAQ schema
- Question-format headings
max-snippetdirective- Clean sitemap
- Optimized meta descriptions
- Knowledge panel signals
Each line is scored with an actionable fix. Click the red recommendations to resolve them. The goal: 100 / GRADE A.
Expected result
Once these 5 steps are complete:
- All your AI Citation bots return 200 in the live diagnostic.
- Your AI Visibility score is ≥ 85 / 100.
- Your
robots.txtcontains 33 explicit blocks per bot. - Within 24-48h, you can start appearing in ChatGPT/Claude/Perplexity answers for queries related to your business.
